Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with one of the largest Solar PV installation companies who are seeking a permanent Solar PV Installers to carry out Solar PV installations in the Southeast, the Midlands and South West of the UK . The company have been established for over 20 years
As a solar pv installer you will use a variety of hand and power tools to install PV panels, to include drills, wrenches, saws, and screwdrivers to connect panels to frames, wires, and support structures. You will be working on new build properties using Viridian & G.S.E solar panels. Full training will be provided for this.
The company have been installing PV systems for over 20 years and they aim to make each install as simple as possible for their Engineers. All sites are technically surveyed prior to the installation starting, all scaffolding and required infrastructure will be set up prior to the teams arrival, and all materials are delivered to site with some surplus to keep as spares/ van stock.
You will only ever have 2-3 installations per day, once the installs are complete, your day is finished. This means if you have smaller systems and complete them all by 1pm, you can go home but will still be paid for a full day.
Solar PV Installer – Requirements
Ideally you will have evidence of attending the following courses:
Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (ideal but not essential)
18th Edition (ideal but not essential)
ECS Card holder
PV system installation training
NICEIC Accredited (ideal but not essential)
Driver’s licence (essential)
Because photovoltaic (PV) panels convert sunlight into electricity, most PV installation is done outdoors. You will work on rooftops and in attics and crawl spaces to connect panels to the electric grid.
