Solar Electrician – Job Overview

We are working with a leading domestic and commercial electrical contracting company, who are equipped to manage projects of any scale. They are looking for Solar PV Installers to join our rapidly expanding MCS registered business installing domestically and commercially nationwide. 

You will be working on a mix of commercial and domestic sectors - rooftop and ground mount.
The applicants will be required to safely and competently install various mounting systems - including the modules, DC cabling, containment back to inverters and the associated electrical equipment. Must have at least 6-12 months experience installing solar PV required.

The role and you:
  • Electrical AC experience is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.
  • ECS card is required. Solar BPEC also desired, but not a requirement.
  • Must have a valid & clean UK driving license.
  • Must be customer facing, courteous & professional.
  • Weekend work available. Some projects may require having to work at the weekend due to restrictions in the week - prior notice given to the operative.
  • Working away- Some projects require our operatives to work away in various locations across England. All accommodation, travel and food expenses will be cover.
  • Working Hours 8:00 - 16:30. There may be the odd project where the electrical connection has to be carried out before and or after working hours due to site restrictions, which can be contained as overtime pay or a later start the next day.

This is a permanent role, normal working hours are 8:00am to 4.30pm, out of hours as described above, 8.5 hours per shift, with half an hour unpaid lunch.
