Solar Electrician – Job Overview

We are working with a leading domestic and commercial electrical contracting company, who are equipped to manage projects of any scale. They are looking for a fully qualified experienced Solar Electrician to join the team covering the Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex, Hampshire & Berkshire.areas and surrounding.

Within the role you will be responsible for the installation of Solar PV and battery storage systems on commercial / domestic properties in the local area. You will need to be fully qualified with your 18th Edition, City & Guilds Level 3, Solar PV Installation qualification and 2391 Test & Inspection. You will be responsible for the timely and efficient installation of solar systems onto the roof and making off connections up to and including the inverter and battery (DC Cabling), as well as installation of solar and battery systems

The role and you:
 
  • You must as an electrician have your NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification, with 5 -10 years’ experience preferred.
  • You must be happy to take an Enhanced DBS Check.
  • You must be confident to carry out work on your own and as part of a team.
  • You must have excellent communication skills as these are customer facing roles.
  • You must be good at using apps on a daily basis, for reporting and installation completion.
  • You must have a full, clean driver’s licence.

This is a permanent role, normal working hours are 8:00am to 4.30pm, out of hours as described above, 8.5 hours per shift, with half an hour unpaid lunch.
