We are currently working with an established air conditioning contractor who have been operating for over 40 years designing, installing, maintaining, and servicing air conditioning and chiller equipment throughout the UK. They employ over 45 mobile engineers and are looking for a Technical Service Manager to come onboard in the Surrey area heading up their Service & Maintenance division throughout the South East.
As a Technical Service Manager, you will be responsible for a team of approximately 7 people split between office and field based Engineers. They are looking to grow the South East team over the coming months so you would have a direct input into their recruitment of Engineers moving forward and making the region a success. You will ensure exceptional service delivery to clients across the area to include offices, schools, light commercial properties, government properties and more. You will also provide technical support and guidance to the operations, sales and engineering teams. There is a separate contract/projects management team, so your focus will be focused on the service delivery, you will organise Engineers diaries, work with the scheduling team to ensure all SLA’s are adhered too and will offer training and support to all Engineers as required.
This role will be split between office, home and site based work. You will have autonomy over your own diary to plan and organise your week as you see fit. Due to visits out to meet clients, Engineers and site visits, a full UK driving licence will be required.
The company can offer ongoing progression opportunities to all management staff. They currently turnover circa £20mil and have increased profits year on year for the past 5 years. As such they are in a strong position within the market and have had several new contract wins thus far this year.
Technical Service Manager – Requirements
Previous experience in a Service Manager or Supervisor role
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC/ Air Conditioning systems
Experience sourcing parts and quoting for repairs
Organisation skills and experience managing Engineers and office staff
