Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are working with one of the UK’s largest Energy Management companies in the UK with over 30 years experience maintaining District Heating Schemes in Glasgow & surrounding areas. They are looking to grow their HIU Engineering team in Glasgow and are looking for an Engineer experience on HIU service and breakdowns to come on board.
Day to day you will cover your local patch, travelling to both the residential sites to service and maintain Heat Interface Units, as well as the main District Heating Plant Rooms/ Energy Centres to carry out maintenance works on Boilers, Burners, Steam systems, CHP, Heat Pumps, Biomass, Pumps and other systems that you would find in a Commercial Plant Room environment. They can offer full training on any plant room systems you haven’t worked on before but they need atleast 2-3 years experience fault finding on HIU’s for this position.
HIU Engineer – Requirements
- 2-3 years experience on Heat Interface Units servicing and breakdown
- Experience in Plant Rooms, District Heating or Energy Centres would be advantageous
- Relevant industry qualifications - City & Guilds/ NVQ level 3 in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Gas engineering
- Full UK Driving Licence
HIU Engineer – Salary & Remuneration
- Basic Salary up to £44,000
- Company Van + Fuel Card
- Travel Pay (minus 30 minutes each way)
