Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heating Engineer, ideally with Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) and Ground Source Heat Pump experience to join a leading renewables client within their Installation, Service and Maintenance division. As a Heat Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of air source heat pump systems for residential customers. Your expertise and knowledge in heating systems will play a vital role in the clients efforts to promote sustainable and energy-efficient heating solutions.
Responsibilities:
Installation:
As a Heat Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for installing air source and ground source heat pump systems for residential customers. This will include the Heat Pump, Unvented Cylinder, Radiator, pipe work and associated mechanical systems. Capping of boilers.
Maintenance and Servicing:
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of ASHP heating systems to ensure their optimal performance and longevity. This involves inspecting, cleaning, and testing various components, identifying and resolving issues or malfunctions, and conducting necessary repairs or replacements.
Fault Finding and Diagnostics:
Conduct thorough fault finding and diagnostics to identify the root cause of system failures or performance issues. Utilise your technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to rectify problems and restore proper operation.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including details of equipment used and work completed. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, health and safety guidelines, and industry standards.
Customer Support:
Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating with clients, addressing their queries and concerns, and offering professional advice on energy-efficient heating solutions. Guide customers on the proper usage and maintenance of ASHP/ GSHP systems.
Continuous Learning:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to ASHP/ GSHP systems and renewable energy technologies. Actively participate in training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
Proven experience as Heating Engineer/ Gas Engineer with ASHP and/or GSHP experience.
Ideally having technical knowledge of heating systems/ air source/ ground source heat pump systems including, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety guidelines pertaining to heating systems and ASHP’s/ GSHP’s.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve system issues.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Full driving license and willingness to travel to different sites local to you, as required.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in renewable energy and related fields would be advantageous such as BPEC in ASHP/ GSHP, F-Gas etc
