Business Development Manager (Commercial Heat Pumps) – Overview

We are currently working with an industry leading Building Services company who are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their Commercial Heat Pump division, helping to establish and drive their sales across Northern Ireland & ROI. The company are seeing huge growth currently with 7 offices across 6 countries and numerous progression opportunities will be available to all candidates across the next few years.

Within this role you will champion the companies offering of commercial scale heat pumps across a range of markets. You will be selling to both End Clients, Consultants, M&E Contractors and other avenues, specifying the correct heat pump for individual and often niche projects. You don’t necessarily need extensive knowledge of Commercial Heat Pumps currently, anyone from a Heat Pump, HVAC or similar industry background will also be considered. The role will be mostly office/home based with travel to sites throughout Ireland to meet with prospects. As part of the role you will:
 
  • Develop a deep understanding of their heat pump products, including their features, benefits, and applications. Effectively communicate product specifications and advantages to clients to drive sales.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels such as networking, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients by understanding their needs, providing personalised solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct informative sales presentations to demonstrate the value proposition of their heat pump systems. Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and concerns of each client.
  • Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals that outline the scope of work, pricing, and terms and conditions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals align with client requirements and company capabilities.
  • Lead negotiations with clients to secure sales agreements. This may involve answering questions, resolving issues, and providing guidance on product selection.

  • Proven track record of success in sales, with a focus on HVAC or renewable energy products.
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of heat pump systems and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets and delivering exceptional customer service.

Business Development Manager (Commercial Heat Pumps) – Salary & Remuneration
 
  • Salary €65,000 - €75,000
